Freshman at Buena high school, Camden Walker, is a part of not only the football team, but is also a huge part of the baseball team. Walker has been playing baseball for over twelve years now and is very excited for his first season as a high schooler. When Walker was born, he was always around baseball, his dad, and also his coach Justin Walker played baseball as a kid, and even got a full ride offer to Yale. When Walker was only three, he played tea ball, and he eventually got really good.
Walker has really enjoyed high school so far, and can’t wait for the years to come. He has a lot of friends, and is a very outgoing person. While talking to Walkers big sister, Quinn Walker, a junior at Buena, she said, “ Camden’s greatest strength would be his ability to be hilarious and have a good time, but to also be super serious when it is needed.” She also said, “Camden is very humorous, loving, and athletic. He is my absolute favorite person in the world, and I love him more than words can describe.”
Walker would like to become a sports analyst when he is older. Walker is a very fun guy, and is always in such a great mood. He always knows how to bring a smile to everyone’s faces. While talking to Camden’s best friend, Colin Guenther, he said “my favorite memory with Cam is probably the first time we met, because it’s crazy to know that I made a best friend, because our older sisters were on the same soccer team in second grade, Cam is like a brother to me. He is so funny, caring, and tacos. He is always there for me and can always put a smile on my face.”
After high school, Walker would like to go to a D1 school on a scholarship, and potentially make baseball a part of his career. In the off season, Walker said, “ I like to stay in shape so I go to the gym and go to the weight room, I also really enjoy playing fort with the boys.” Walker is a catcher, and has been for most of his baseball career. His goals for this season are to win the league, and he would really like to bat over 400.
